What We Do

Programs that create lasting societal change

WeTu Trust Foundation creates social impact by empowering communities, supporting education, healthcare, climate action, and fostering inclusive development.

Education

Education is the cornerstone of lasting change, and WETU is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by investing in the minds of tomorrow leaders. Through scholarships, mentorship programs, and targeted learning support, we ensure that no child is left behind due to financial constraints or lack of guidance. Our approach goes beyond tuition fees — we pair students with mentors who nurture confidence, critical thinking, and a sense of purpose, equipping them with both academic knowledge and life skills needed to thrive in a competitive world.

Climate

Environmental Conservation

As the effects of climate change intensify, WETU is dedicated to building resilient, environmentally conscious communities. Our initiatives include tree planting drives, zero waste schools, and climate resilience training that instills a culture of environmental stewardship from an early age. Increasingly, we are placing emphasis on sustainable land use and land tenure awareness, helping communities understand and secure their rights to land — a critical step toward long-term resource security, responsible stewardship, and reducing vulnerability to environmental shocks.

Equality

Human Rights & Social Justice

Every individual deserves to live with dignity, free from injustice and exploitation. WETU champions human rights and social justice by providing legal aid, raising rights awareness, and advocating for the protection of vulnerable and marginalized groups. Through community education and strategic partnerships, we empower people to understand and claim their rights, while also working to influence policies and practices that promote fairness, equity, and accountability at every level of society.

Peace

Conflict Resolution & Mediation

Peaceful, harmonious communities are built on the ability to resolve conflict constructively. Our ADR programs provide mediation services and community-based conflict resolution mechanisms that offer accessible, culturally sensitive alternatives to lengthy and costly legal battles. By training local mediators and promoting dialogue-based solutions, we help families, neighbors, and community groups settle disputes amicably — preserving relationships, restoring trust, and fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation.

Livelihood

Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment

True transformation happens when communities can stand on their own feet economically. WETU empowers individuals and community groups through skills development training and seed capital support for income-generating activities, fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance. This pillar is about more than handouts — it is about equipping people with practical business skills, access to start-up resources, and ongoing mentorship so that families can build sustainable livelihoods and break free from cycles of dependency and poverty.

Health

Healthcare & Poverty Relief

Good health is the foundation upon which every other opportunity is built. Our healthcare and nutrition programs focus on preventive care, community health outreach, and school feeding initiatives designed to combat malnutrition and improve overall wellbeing. By working closely with local health workers and community volunteers, we bring essential health education, screenings, and nutritious meals directly to those who need them most, ensuring vulnerable families and children have a fighting chance at a healthy, productive life.
